Infected Mushroom in Chicago 2005.01.07
Israeli psychedelic trance artists Infected Mushroom are appearing January 7th at Sound Bar in Chicago. This is their first appearance ever in Chicago (and first ever as well in the midwestern U.S.!). This follows their recent move to Los Angeles.
(PLEASE NOTE: This show was put together by PURE and Sound Bar. Chilluminati had nothing to do with DJ lineup, times, etc. We are just fans helping to promote the event and have no connection to PURE or Sound Bar. Also, SOUND BAR HAS A STRICTLY ENFORCED DOOR POLICY. It is described HERE. You could get turned away for wearing gym shoes. Read what they have to say before you come.)

About Infected Mushroom
*With over 150,000 albums sold world wide and with close to 500,000 people having seen them live, it is no exaggeration to say that INFECTED MUSHROOM is the most successful Psychedelic act in the world today.
. . .
*Infected Mushroom is Erez Eizen and Amit Duvdevani (nicknamed Duvdev).
*Both Duvdev, born in 1974, and Erez, born in 1980, have a classical music education.
*Erez started learning to play the organ at the age of four, and he has been combining music and computers since the age of eleven.
*Duvdev studied the piano for nine years.
*A mutual friend suggested they should get together and the two found enough in common to “surreptitiously” explore the rising psychedelic trends coming out of the clubs.
The results :
• 1998 saw the release of their debut album, “The Gathering”, which was heavily inspired by the surreal ambient dance of Simon Posford, X-Dream, and Transwave.
• In 2000 they released “Classical Mushroom”, an aggressively melodic trance album that introduced them to the European and Japanese markets, and turned IM into one of the top trance duos in the world.
• 2001 brought us “B.P Empire” – overloaded with their talent, creativity and musical background, the album opened doors in the Americas – USA and South America – and established Infected Mushroom as the leaders of this genre.
• “Converting Vegetarians” was released in 2003. An adventurous project, combining Trance and Freestyle on a Double CD, “Converting” leads the listener through a sonic journey of epic proportions showing IM’s great talent as masters of analog resonance.
Through the years Infected Mushroom has gradually gained global recognition, appearing at major parties in Brazil, Japan, Mexico and the UK as well as touring in Canada and the USA.
