The Chilluminati

Who We Are

The Chilluminati is really a network metagroup, a collective of SIX promotional, arts, and consciousness community groups: Psymbolic, TOUCH Samadhi, Divine Balance, and Audiognomes.

We also have tight working relationships with Consciousness Cafe, Eo Somnium (formerly Trance Psyndicate), and Iowa's MindoutPsyde.

It is a network-based collective where everyone is an equal node on the network and decisions are made by a kind of weird chaotic neural process.

We are linked by optic fiber and float in a pool of liquid nutrient, exuding our ideas into a kind of mycelial soup that gets into all the equipment and requires frequent trips to the laundromat.

  • The Fixer, Chicago organizer. Holistic integration, webmaster, promotion, venue liaison, event management, and memetic engineer. About this he says: "I view Chilluminati events to be islands of spiritual energy. Chilluminati attendees become part of a spiritual community. I look at ways to integrate venue, art, music, people and vibe into a seamless whole." Originator of name "Chilluminati", "Chillum'uddin".
  • Julee & Troy, of Psymbolic. Interactive visual artists, event logistics, lineup curators, artist submissions, graphics, promotions, finances, web support. Originators of the eye-and-orb logo. This catalytic duo run a Multimedia Label and are Audio / Visual event engineers that create Live Interactive Visual Environments in which they project evolving expression through their video compositions and the realtime surrounding spectacles. Psymbolic always aims to provide a customized thematic performance with synchronous moments of meaning and inspiration.
  • Kaiser, Milwaukee based DJ with PTLF / 37H3R. Sound, electro, lineup, promotion.
  • Shai, Chicago DJ with Divine Balance. Lineup, event management. Ubernetworker, hooked into the planet flow and a major source of inspiration.
  • SOT, DJ with TOUCH Samadhi. Event management, lineup, sound systems and tech. Will do whatever it takes.

  • Dimitry Emerging from Mexico's trance scene, Drea-D has been head banging for close to ten years now to the beat of the psychedelic drum. One of the newest additions to the Chilluminati Crew, he has lived in Chicago for the past six years. After first moving to Chicago he did his best to bring the psychedelia to what seemed to be an apparent psy-free environment. He held a radio show at Northwestern's WNUR titled dj Drea-D's Psychedelic Experience for over two years but has since left the airwaves.
    Partying at international trance festivals across the globe, Drea-D is a seasoned citizen of the world who's biggest love is dancing into the sunrise and through the sunset. His contributions to Chilluminati include, hookah master, chill space ambience, good spirit and live fire performances. He is also one of the founding members of a Chicago based fire performance troupe.

  • Underfoot, 2004-2006,, Madison, Wisconsin DJ with Audiognomes. Graphics, web support, event management, promotion. Brilliant graphical artist and source of nearly all Chilluminati graphics, banners, flyers, CD covers, etc. With the Chilluminati up to December 2006.
  • Devorah, 2004-2007, Chicago artist. Integration, deco, event management, community support. Beautiful vision.
  • Eklypz, 2006-2007, Iowa organizer.
  • MikeL, 2005-2007, Chicago organizer with Native State Records and Tranceplant Records. Event management, lineup, finances. Major supporter of Chilluminati. Ubermensch with sick / twisted / weird sense of humor.
