Missing Tapestry
Someone appears to have walked off with one of our tapestries that were up at the barn.
Devorah and I are requesting people to please go through what they packed up from the event. The only reason we got that tapestry was to show at parties. We really don't have enough yet so we really need that tapestry back.
This is the second important hanging that has "disappeared" at a Chilluminati show. We had a Tibetan wall hanging that was at Metatronic 2 "walk away" from us. Every time it happens we become less likely to bring out anything to the shows to share with others.
Thanks. If you know what became of it please email debbie @ visioncollective (DOT) org.

Thanks everyone for the incredibly awesome time. This was my first weekend-long fest, and only my second intro to the scene - words can't accurately describe how much I enjoyed the party. I enjoyed meeting Psygomin (and his chill set on the second stage - wow wow wow was that ever so awesome! I enjoyed it so much I endured lying on the hard ground and in the cold morning air to hear it), PsyloPsyBen (thanks for the mix CD) and a bunch of other people who's names flew right out of my head or I never got.
I'm usually a pretty active dancer but the show was too much, by sunday morning I was so overwhelmed I had to just sit and listen for the most part. Whoever those three (or were there four? I can't remember, it's all one big blur) DJs were were just amazing...
The venue was just perfect. I had our tent out by the unmown field and could hear the chill stage perfectly.
I'm going back to Texas this weekend, I wish I had made a more serious effort to get into the scene here - especially after seeing Astral Projection and now Dreamfields - but I hope to make some trips back up here if it doesn't work out for me to actually move back.

Just got back from dreamfields. I have to say, Chilluminati has their shit together. The event went down on private property and the way it was set up was pure brilliance. There were no tickets, you just payed by paypal and showed your ID at the door. The wristbands were smart as hell too, they actually had a disclaimer on them.
Dancefloor: The main stage was a renovated barn with a WOOD FLOOR, lots of seating, and was decorated by real artists(the land owner even had his stuff hanging on the walls and it was very nice) They had a well stocked chai bar that sold nearly everything you needed(one of my friends was biotching about no coffeew, but WTF) including glowsticks and sandwiches.
Chill stage: awesome music, but nowhere to chill.
People: I had NO trouble finding people to chill with till the sun went down and everyone was very cool.
Music: pure ownage. 48 hours of pure psytrance(for those of you not in the know, thats trance that doesn't suck) On friday night, they had Derby and SOT play on 4 decks for four hours and it was UBER. The highlight of saturday was Dan Efex(DNA) doing two hours of the best cybertrance I have ever heard. After Dan got done, Jirah did a two hour live PA that justplain kicked ass. The rest of the time was filled with excellent DJ's that I didn't mention because one dude vs Dan Efex or Two guys on 4 decks = no contest. At any other party, they would have been show stoppers though.
Oh, and there was a POOL for people to chill in dirung the day. I'm not talkin kiddie pool either, I'm talkin bout a 10 foot deep pool that we were actually trusted to not fuck up.
Major props to the land owner and major props to chilluminati for throwing a party that I will remember for years.

Nate, you are so right about this event. Talk about going back to the good old days of Drop Bass Network & Madison parties in barns but this time with more class & flair. It was awesome. The highlights of the weekend were Jirah's final PA that consisted of mainly morning & uplifting trance, Dan Efex aka DNA full-on set as well as Derby & S.O.T.'s 4 hour set of dark / hard minimal psy trance. They were spinning tunes that were mainly underground & unreleased psy tunes from countries such as Russia (god, I never knew that they were even making psy tunes over that way...lol).
Overall, very impressed with the music, people & the good vibes all around

thanks for having me out paul!
i had a lot of fun and it was very cool to be outside listening to some great music...very cool venue and awesome vibe throughout...
i have yet to be disappointed from an audiognome/chilluminati party...
+++
wow, what a party! I had a great time! everyone's sets were phenomenal, the vibe was one of the best Ive seen in some time, and the venue was also perfect! Thanks to everyone that put this together and who made this party such a great time! I had fun meeting many new people.

This Event Was Awesome! Fantastic People, Great Sets From A Good Chunk Of The Midwest & Great Vibes!
One Note To Derby & S.O.T. Your Set On Friday Night Into Saturday Morning was nothing sort of phenomenal. Smiley
Respect Goes To Everyone. Thank you 4 A Great Weekend.

I just wanted to follow up and see how the rest of the
weekend went at Dreamfields. I also wanted to thank
you for inviting me to participate in your collective
of talented individuals. It was a pleasure to meet
you. Sorry I had to run off so early on Saturday, but
I was totally burnt out. No sleep and concentrating
on psychedelic visuals all night turned my brain to
mush. Next time I'll be better prepared. I would
love to hook up again sometime in the loop. I'm
usually here on Mondays and Fridays, so just let me
know when is good for you. I really enjoyed meeting
everyone at Dreamfields, everyone was very kind and I
dug the vibe.
Cheers,
Reuben Fortier

Kind words from Jirah:
"...thanks for the wonderful time. Elly and I both enjoyed the event very much and honestly it was the first time in awhile that I have really felt good and I guess happy to be at a party."
+++
While I enjoyed ALL acts on the main stage, I would have to say Dan Efex rocked me the hardest. If anyone can steer me towards the tracks he was using I would be very apreciative. EVERY track he played had a certain type of synth/effect that turns the knobs in my brain to 11. I was also very impressed with SOT/Derby. I think it would be a shame if they didn't tag team, as I think it only adds to the energy when you have two guys working together like that.
I also enjoyed the smallness of the party. I don't think we coluld have gotten away with something like that if it was bigger. It was very nice actually KNOWING exactly who was there. It totally killed the urge I ussually have to wander around and "see whos here"
Oh, and BIG props to the land owner. If you are reading this, THANK YOU. Your place kicks ass and that barn was the best dance floor I have ever seen at an outdoor party.

re : the land owner // Just talked to David Lundahl of New Light Studios...
http://www.newlightstudios.com/biography.php
...On a scale of 0-10, 0 meaning no problems and 10 meaning lawsuit, he said we scored a 2.5. So we'll most certainly be back someday! A follow-up cleaning pass is already planned, and he has $200 from us for any repairs that need to be made.

Thanks a lot to all the orgs for wonderful times!! This event was much more personal and intimate than Geologic that made it
more special. The owner was very hospitable in opening up his house for the restrooms and the Swimming Pool!!
Not many people I know would do that in such a gathering.
Divraj was a great addition to the team and should be booked for later gatherings imho. SOT and Derby had a great set that made me
get up and dance..lol..It was fun to see some alternative girl action on the second night too..kinda distracting..but all in good fun Smiley

awsome awsome awsome. the whole thing felt like a video game being able to travel from camp to camp and to the barn and the shop. video game i could never forget. i didnt like where i put my tent cuz when i finally went to lay down the blurr from both stages was really hard to pick one sound to relax to. though out of that i have though of trying to make/produce a track that sounded simmilar though i hav no clue what it would be called. hehe on hell of a evet and i cant wait to see if i can go to the next one and for the next oppertunity to play again.
Oh and Jirah was incredible i wish my charger for my cam haddent failed so i could have gottne more of his set recorded.
+++
Just wanted to say I had an excellent time @ dreamfields. altho yea when trying to sleep the blending of the psy trance and the delicious downtempo made it damned near impossible to get any sort of sleep, however; who goes to parties like dreamfields to sleep anyways Wink
I couldn't believe all the cool music that came from that chill tent either, I heard everything from squarepusher to amon tobin, shphongle, venetian snares, my mind was drooling for hours and hours and hours....which brings me to ask, during those hours and hours on saturday night who spun over @ that tent? i'm on a serious mission to somehow collect some of those songs or sets that where played, somehow...
+++
im a newb here and all but i wanted to say thanks to underfoot and keyser for having me out...i was only able to stop in saturday night but i enjoyed my time there (still burned out from the 3-day cave rave - i couldnt handle another all-weekender)...
paul and scott were gracious enough to let me play the chill tent saturday evening from 2 am - 4:30 am...i was playing while jirah was on so i didnt expect too many people to be listening but it was very cool seeing a few people stick around through sections of my set...
i played alot of simillar stuff that scott was playing (and even scolded him for almost playing a few tracks i wanted to Smiley...i played quite a few unit tracks, some dubstep deep bass tracks, songs of the humpback whale, abfahrt hinwhil among many others that escape me at the moment...i have some similar style mixes recorded but i am currently in the process of getting them back online...now that im a member of this board i will try to post a link when i get them uploaded...
again just wanted to say thanks to all involved to making the party a "waking dream"...good stuff and i hope you are able to do many more parties...

i had an absolute blast... Psygomin, it was nice meeting you and your wife... To both Jeffs, wish i would have had time to talk to you guys more... One of these parties i'll get it right. Wink
It was a great set up, and i have no complaints, aside from the porta-potties making my eyes water whenever i walked past them. i swear, it loked like the paint was peeling off of them by 10am on sunday. haha
Derby and SOT just plain rocked as they always do... I'd love to bring you guys back out my way again soon! I really enjoyed everyone else's set that i heard, too.
Even though it was pouring down rain when we got there and while i was pitching the tent, i would have to say that i couldnt have asked for more beautiful weather throughout the weekend.
Oh, and props to Psychai for the awesome chai tea!
Can't wait for Karmaclysm! [especially since it is closer to home!!]

Some Q&A...
Q: Is there firewood available to burn or for purchase?
A: There's actually a lot of wood/kindling around the property, provided we're willing to help break/chop it up. There are three areas where small/larger bonfires can be created. People are welcome to bring their own wood, but only for the designated fire areas. This will need to be CLOSELY monitored if it's going to happen at all. Your safety is key. Do not start a fire without the express
permission/supervision of a Chilluminati staff member.
Q: Is there running water/showers available for people to use?
A: Just portapotties. People should bring wetnaps, soap and their own
water supply if they plan on doing any scrubbing up at the party.
Q: Anywhere to swim/should anyone bring swimsuits if they desire?
A: Yes! The property owner, David, has a small pool, which we'll be setting the chill stage up next to. It's perfect for wading or just dipping your feet in. The pool will also need to be monitored.
Q: Is anyone vending any food/grilling food for sale?
A: Psychai is handling all concessions (water/snacks/fruit/chai), but to my knowledge, no one is planning any four-course feasts. People are advised to bring their own edibles, as stated on the flyer, unless they wish to go off-site to the row of gas stations/restaurants near the aforementioned hotels. We don't encourage a lot of coming and going, however, as it attracts unwanted attention from locals. We don't want to disturb anyone's peace.
Q : Can people only planning on attending ONE night get a halved/reduced rate?
A : No. I'm afraid we can't give *any* guest reduced rates or other preferential treatment. It's only fair, and throwing parties is costly besides.
Q : If I decide not to stay for the full event, can I have a portion of my admission refunded?
A : Again, no. Flat rates were advertised, and we're sticking to them.
